Soldier Discharged for Appearing in Gay Porn

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fort Bragg Army soldier is being discharged for admitting that he performed in a video on the military-themed gay porn site ActiveDuty.com. The soldier, whose name was not revealed, was serving with the 1st Battalion of the 321st Field Artillery Regiment.

Fort Bragg spokesman Col. Billy J. Buckner told The Fayetteville Observer that only one soldier from the unit was involved. The soldier is expected to be discharged this month.

“Once the issue surfaced, the soldier’s chain of command responded accordingly,” Buckner said. “We take this issue seriously, and the soldier’s conduct does not reflect the values we adhere to in the Army.”

A statement from Fort Bragg officials said that allegations had been made in June that a soldier was in a video that had been shot two years earlier.

The Army has investigated soldiers’ participation in videos on ActiveDuty.com twice, once in 2000 and again in 2006. Seven paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne Division were discharged in 2006 after they appeared on the site.
